Digital UK televisions are not compatible in Southern Ireland. you will need satellite or to buy a digi box. Some UK TV's can be tuned into the Irish network - check your settings before your trip.  

Calor gas bottles have different fittings.

Make sure you come with a full bottle!

 

Dog walkers / hikers

Most good walks can be found in forestry or on beaches. Look out for the area OS map. Many of the long distance routes will take you on roads (albeit quiet ones)
